This was vey interesting.  Thx for posting.  I am surprised that all of the bridges open on demand.  My father used to live on the river (at 17th Ave Bridge) and at that time some of the bridge only opened on the half hour.  I suppose those were the bridges that are now fixed.

  • No it wouldn’t be the fixed ones. Last time I did the trip, I was caught for awhile at one bridge ( me falta cual puente este momento ), so no guarentee they will open immediately on demand although that is how I understand they are scheduled. I’d love to hear from a daily navigator of the river. RJ

Thanks for the great video and info. Would love to know who the music is by?

  •  Hi Laura: Sorry to say that I do not know.  It was salsa music offered by YouTube.  RJ

"I recently bought a Morris Linda 28 sailboat via the web. A large purchase for me and I'd never bought a boat remotely before and was a bit nervous about the process ahead. I live in New Hampshire and the boat was in Florida. Tom Harney of Jordan Yachts in Fort Lauderdale FL was handling the sale. I cannot speak highly enough of his and their professionalism. They accurately described the boat, assisted me with a list of local surveyors, coordinated the sale, de-rigged and packed the boat for shipment. At my end the yard that took delivery said nothing had moved in shipment and everything was well boxed and documented. Communication was frequent and accurate with plenty of advice keeping me out of trouble. Can't say enough. I would work with them again in a heartbeat." - TM, SV Highland Fling
